About

My name is Reylene Abbott

This little dream has been sitting in my heart for years, and it finally gets to step into the world. If you know me, you know how much joy my dog Rip brings into my life—and how much joy he brings to every kid who gets to play with him. One day I found myself wondering:

“How can we give kids the courage and excitement to explore Southern Idaho the way Rip does?”

And just like that, The Local Adventures of Rip was born.

This series is built for the curious, brave, adventure-loving kiddos of our community. It’s meant to show them the magic tucked right here in our own backyard—Twin Falls, the canyon, the river, the caves, the splash pads, the parks… all through the eyes of Rip the Explorer.

Your support means the world to me as I step into this new creative chapter. Stay tuned over the next two weeks for how to snag your copy.

Thank you for loving me through every adventure… and get ready, because Rip has a lot more exploring to do.

Love you all,

Reylene & Rip

Rip's Story

Rip wasn’t always the happy, adventurous dog you see today. When he was little, he didn’t get the love or care he needed, and he spent a lot of time alone. But everything changed the day my family rescued him and showed him what kindness feels like. With patience, practice, and help from our friend Zack, Rip learned how to feel safe, confident, and brave again.

Now Rip spends his days exploring Southern Idaho with his big sister Dixie—chasing waterfalls, making new friends, and discovering how wonderful life can be. Below, you can see real pictures of Rip on his very own adventures!
